You gotta trust Lillard, living in California the Smog Capital of the world; he know's what he's talking about. If I lived in California I'd corner the market for all those little white smog fans too.

Yup, but the smog delete for Canada was only in 68. The question was about 69's.
I'm not sure how that KD1 option was handled in 68 in Canada. I see L78's and Z's documented with and without it.
Unfortunately, KD1 is one of the few options that we don't have the production totals.

Some of the GM of Canada paperwork has been found to have mistakes on the RPO lists. There was one that had some strange RPOs on it and when the owner called back GM of Canada the second time they gave him a different RPO list. I am not sure how they generate the RPO lists but there is a chance that they can have a mistake on them. The A.I.R. pump system required different carb, distributor, and exhaust manifolds so it seems there would be more required then just not installing the air pump. IMO

I have a related question about deletes on export cars. My 70 Nova assembly manual alludes to export deletes for heater, seat belts, and head rests. What other things might have been different on cars that were shipped to Mexico than they were in U.S.? Glass, mirrors, interiors, colors? Also, were the "trim tags" different in Mexico?

The exhaust manifolds just got plugs with KD2. Pretty sure the same distributor and carb were used.

While I agree that the COPO Camaro's and Chevelles in 69 had air pumps, and I know the automatic vs 4 speed Camaros is always a discussion point. But, with some owners of the Chevelles, why is it that on the build sheet the air pump boxes are always left blank? Should there not be a code in this box if the car came with one. I have been asked this question many times and I really dont have the answer, except cars that are known to have air pumps since new, that there build sheets are blank as well. Any answers????
