Pete;
Yes, the body broadcast sheet is approx. 5" x 8", and lists the frame sequence #, build date, body #, interior code, and then in the option boxes it lists some of the options - but not all of them. I think those options that relate to the body are listed, you usually don't find things like J50/J51 for power disc brakes, but will find N10 for dual exhaust (extra plate on frame rail), B84 for side moldings, M20 for the trans (different exit hole in firewall for speedo cable), and sometimes L78 for the engine - I haven't seen small block codes though. I am starting to think that there were different broadcast sheets for different areas of the car, but that is just a theory because when we find multiple broadcast sheets in a given car they have always matched each other. I'm always looking for more!

Marlin,
I have seen three different type of sheets. 1 - The Fisher Body sheet used during body assembly. Mostly found under the rear seat which was installed before it left Fisher. Included mostly RPO's that required Fisher to pierce the body or weld on extra parts (moulding, rear swaybar, floor shifter, defroster). 2- The CHASSIS BROADCAST COPY. Which had codes for Engine compartment, drivetrain, and suspension. 3- The BODY BROADCAST COPY. Which had codes for anything that was in (radio, lights, cluster, wiring, floormats), poked thru the body to the drivers compartment (Speedo cable, master cylinder, steering column, antenna), or was applied to the body (tire pressure decal, emissions decal, paint stripe, moulding). Some codes are on both Body and Chassis sheets. The 70 Nova Broadcast Copy's are done on older systems that the 70 Chevelle and Camaro's. Willow Run switched to the same system a few years later. Greg;
I have only seen the bigger sheets for '72 and newer Novas. The '70 body broadcast sheets that have never show things like AM radio, mats, etc... Interestingly, they also don't show the F41 code which requires those special brackets to be welded into the floorboards for the rear sway bar.

Marlin,
You are correct the small Fisher body sheets (like above) do not show Radio and Mats because they were installed later. The BODY BROADCAST COPY (attached) did show them. Curious that the Fisher body sheets did not show F41. I wonder if they started with more than one base configuration and only included minor modifications..... Greg
