Very nice CHEVELLE,I like camaros,novas,and old vettes but I am partial to CHEVELLES and this one looks mighty nice.Have a lot of fun driving it I bet. [img]/ubbthreads/images/icons/cool.gif[/img]

Everything becomes a blur after a while, but I remember reading an article about some Guy that had a bunch of COPOs.
He had three of them set up for some sort of shoot out at the track and the Chevelle torqued an axle tube. Is this the same COPO or has my memory failed once again? [img]/ubbthreads/images/icons/cool.gif[/img]

Thanks guys. Yes this the Chevelle that was used in the "Killer COPO Shootout" in the Dec/Jan 98 issue of MCR. The car was drag raced years ago, and had a wounded axle tube that was never repaired properly, and let go once again during this shootout. Anyway, the rear was removed and put on a jig and properly repaired. So the original rear end is still in it, with some small weld marks on the one side, but it gives it character and a unique story behind it. All part of the history of the car now!
