Finally got around to examining the "LT-1" cam I spoke of above.......indeed the end is stamped with the 3972178 that Stan points out. On the rough cast area just forward of the dist drive gear there is "1539" cast in not stamped and 180' around same area is I 5,...possibly 1 5......are any of these #'s the casting dates, as I dont have the same 4 digit #'s the others above quoted......at any rate does NEW G.M. LT-1 cam have much value in anybodys opinion.....Chuck
