I love that picture. A field full of sleepers. Did all the Yenko's originally come from the factory with the rally wheels or did some have the dog dish caps?

Neat picture. If you could only turn back the clock, I think we would all own a couple of those.

I believe all the Yenko Camaros came with the COPO/9737 "Sports Car Conversion" which included the ralley wheels.

Hey has anyone here ever noticed that the Hugger Orange car in the center of the picture has fender pinstriping? You can see it a little clearer on the Camaro Untold Secrets site copy of this picture. Bet that car is an X11 style trim car. Wonder if the pinstriping was removed before he added his decals and emblems?...................RatPack................ ..

Ever since I saw this picture in MCR years ago I've wondered about some of the cars' colors in the picture. That vinyl top car has always appeared Garnet Red and it looks like there is a black car also. I know they may be orange and Fathom green but they look like a different hue from the other green and orange cars in the picture.

Rat_Pack,
Very interesting observation, part of the X-11 trim package was the double pinstripe painted on the fender and 1/4 pannel wheel well peaks. I have seen other pictures and original X-11 coded Camaro COPOs such as those from Berger and some of the other dealers that have all had the X-11 pin stripes. Since the Yenkos were to be striped could there have been a 'COPO" order pinstripe delete on the order sheets? Could it be that the ones which had the pinstripes were for Yenkos ordered that were not to have Yenko Stripes installed? |

I would think that the pin stripes were easily removed. I have never seen an X11 Yenko with both style striping. On the Harrell cars, if the stripe was in the way of the custom stripe that was applied, the factory stripe was buffed away. It would take almost nothing to remove the quickly applied factory pin striping...BKH
