I grew up 30 miles outside of Pgh., in Greensburg...Moved to SC a couple years ago. I used to see that car at shows around the area, it was almost always at the Day Chevrolet Corvette shows. I really don't know anything about it, other than it being shown as a ZL1 car.

I'm assuming that this would be a transplant 'race' car? Or is this a potential 3rd ZL-1 or GM mule?

The car is faily local. It was a straight orange roadster, but blue was added a few years ago with Gulf logos on the side. Neat car with wide open Hooker side mounts. He raced the car in hill climb events. Stories always surround the car. I was told by a person that worked at the dealership where the car was delivered to, {not Yenko} it was an L/88. Have also been told it was a ZL/1. I have never seen it with the ZL/1 in it. My hunch is that it was a L/88 new...BKH
