Default Re: What's a Yenko Tag Worth ?

I received another phone call this morning. It's good to hear that alot of people read these boards.

Just to clarify a few things :

My post is not meant to make assumptions, or insinuate anything about anyones character or credibility. I just threw out alot of questions that most people in the same situation as I, would have. I have no control over other peoples interpretations of my post.

I mention NO names, with the exception of Don Yenko, only in referring to his cars, and the Yenko business in '65-'66.

Don't be bashful. Feel free to chime in. Knowing all details and the story, what is the tag worth for this Corvair Yenko Stinger? $5,$20,$50,$100,$500,$1000,$2000 ???

Thanks :-)

Considering that you have all the documentation and apparently it is clearly a Yenko car I would not offer more than $100. The tag is only worth something to you and in reality do you really need it? Just an opinion.

Thanks for the reply MikeA . That sounds like a plan. If the man that phoned me is interested in $100 for that tag.......send me some photos of it, and call me. You have my phone number. I do not have yours.

Wow.......No phone call. I guess this gentleman had more than $100 in mind ?

Hmmmm.......I guess whoever ends up with this tag, is going to have to hang onto it until they can buy my car so they have something legit to put it on ?

Ahhhhh..... Gotta love the people who are in the hobby "just to try to help people out". LOL

Rick, be happy with your 101 tag. From what you have posted earlier, your correct 101 tag is the only tag that car should have. Print out a copy of this thread and keep it with your car paperwork for the future record!
