Merollis in Detroit, Dick Watson in Williamston and Harry Max in Monroe are thedealers in Michigan that I know of that sold COPO/Yenko cars. Watson and Max were Yenko dealers. I live 150 miles north of Grand Rapids and I don't ever remember Nischan- Spalding in GR, but that doesn't mean they weren't there at some time in the past.Merollis sold, at least several, ZL1's.

Mr 70
About a year ago I tried to find some information about Ray Ridge Chevy also and hit a dead end. Last summer I ran into a guy that worked there in the early 70's, but didn't know much about what was sold etc. in the 60's. He did give me the name of another person that was the service manager during the 60's, but I was never able to find him. His name didn't show up in online white pages, Detroit area phone books etc. I do remember making several stops at Ray Ridge back then as they always had a lot of muscle cars on the lot. We used to spend aweek-end or two every month on Woodward Ave.and checked out all the dealers in the area. Trenton is on the south side of Detroit. I have been watching and listening for information about Ray Ridge Chevy. If anything surfaces, I will post it. Vern Bauer |
