Default Re: 71 Motion Camaro questions.............

Mark
Bill K offered me this car twice. In 1990 I stopped at his body shop and he took me to his Mom's house were the car was stored. I was not a serious buyer at that time and just wanted to see an original BM in person. I think the car was basically for sale at that time and he said he would take 22-25k. There was no engine in the car at the time and the hood was leaning up against the wall.(The original engine in the car was long gone I believe and think Bill bought he car without an engine). I cannot remember if that price was with or without an engine. I called him in '93 and wanted to see if he would sell the car. He was undecided at that time. Bill called me a year later and said he wanted to sell the car. The price was 30-35k-ish in '94 and an engine was installed. I think he was wanting to buy an old custom Merc was his reason for selling. If I was not building a house at the time I would of bought it. When I saw the car in '90 all the original Motion paperwork and other related stuff was in a folder on the front seat. It was for sale in Hemmings in '96-'97 before Bill Ogle had it and the seller was wanting 92K I believe. That car is one of my favorite cars of all time. It just has that "look".
