Default Re: Feature Car

When GM says that 201 Chevelles of that particular model were shipped from the US to Canada, they mean that that many 13637 models were shipped. This may or may not indicate the number of COPO cars sent. The documentation on our L78 car indicates that there were 2680 of that model sold in Canada. This means that there were that many 13437 300 Deluxe hardtops sold. Some obviously were SS396 but most weren't.
When we bought our COPO cars, one was orange with the M22, black vinyl bench seat and no gauges. While it was reportedly written off in the later '70s, I'm wondering if it might be still alive. It was sold new through Beare Motors in Port Perry, Ontario. The GM documentation would show this. Any help Jeff? The original owner would love to see it. I have a series of day one photos of the car.
