Thanks guys!
![]() I would have loved to attend this years PSMCDR in Michigan. It's just a stones throw from me here in the Western Chicago burbs..But other plans persist. It is in the Future though.(Steven J you're bringing you LS-6 with me.) You are correct on the springs. We grew up with cars raised in the rear, and I was guilty myself,so during resto I made sure that thing sat right!I was very pleased with the outcome. I too was drawn to it being a Red interior car.I didn't want another Red/Black 70 Chevelle. But this engine and color combo spoke to me like none other. She's a Keeper. And I stole it out from under Rob in his own home state! ![]() |

Man Rick, that is one sweet Chevelle. I've always been partial to the '70 and '71 models, as yourself. I came close to buying one in Dallas back in '96. It had the same color combination, but had a 454 LS5. The car needed a lot of TLC, so I tried to get the seller to agree to a lower price. He said he'd think about it for the weekend. He called me a few days later, telling me he'd take nearly 30% less. "So what's the deal," I said. Turns out he took the Velle out for a last drive and ended up hitting a tree and catching it on fire.
