Sunday was a very sad day in Daytona 500 history. I will always remember Dale in his early NASCAR days driving through corners sideways with all four tires smoking pushing his second string equipment to the front. He was a driver of the greatest natural talent. Watching Dale for so many years makes you feel like you knew him personally. Good-bye Dale Earnhardt my friend.

Even though another driver has been my favorite over
the years, I always watched with interest each race to see what "The Intimidator" would do next. Dale "was" NASCAR, and when I heard of his death, I instantly felt physically ill. Whether you loved him, or loved to hate him, there's no denying NASCAR will never be the same without him. For those that believe, saying a prayer for his kids, who lost their father, and for his wife, who lost her soulmate, wouldn't hurt either. God-speed Dale.... we miss you! Ken |
