CamaroRus - Do you know how or why Boeing used a ZL1 as a test vechicle involved in the 747 Airliner program? Sounds like an interesting story there.

Somebody, whose screen name I dont recogonize, wrote me E-mail stating that Dick Tutino is living in Mooreshead, S.C. with his son....and certainly Dick should be telling the ZL-1 #27 story....however I "think" that Boeing needed a FAST accellerating vechicle to tow one of those Bicycle looking wheels ...and clock braking distances ???
