Keith, On all the Canadian COPO Chevelles that you have info on (with 9566AA )are they all 4sp cars? The ones with the 1001HA are they either Monaco Orange or Daytona Yellow?
This is what I have for the RPO's you listed; ZP1 = COPO TIRES RWL F 70 X 14 ZP8 = MFG STATEMENT ?? (not sure) ZV6 ?? (maybe Canadian only item) ZN1 = COPO AXLE 4:10 POSI Also I have seen ZK8 TIRE PRESURE DECAL on Canadian documentation but I'm not sure if it is Canadian only. |

JoeC;
The ZK8 - Tire Pressure Decal option shows up on the '70 COPO Nova - Canadian Documentation, but the Yenko COPO Novas have the decal in the door jamb as well. We have concluded that this particular option was included in both the U.S. and the Canadian COPO Novas. This may also be true for the Chevelles. The Canadian COPO Novas appear to have received some options that the U.S. COPO's did not; V48 - Engine Coolant-Increased Protec(antifreeze), ZQ7 - Canadian Warranty Booklet & Misc. Literature, W84 - Additional Fuel for Delivery. Did the Canadian COPO Chevelles receive these additional options as well?? Marlin

I'm not sure if a F70x15 tire will have the same tire pressure decal as a F70x14 tire. Something else to look into.

1001HA, is on most of my COPO build sheets, this isn't for specail paint color, because I only have 1, that was Monaco Orange, and 1 for Daytona Yellow, the 1001HA, is also on there build sheets. I have 12, of what I understand, of the 20 COPO Chevelles, shipped to Canada. If any one can sheid some light on the "1001HA'. I have know ideas. The build sheets,I have for the Yenko's, don't have this code. Not all Canadain COPO Chevelle's , had the V48, heavy duty coolant, either, or isn't showing. My sheet, starts with VIN:408346, and ends with VIN:412635, all built in Baltimore,MD. It shows more then just COPO's on it. There is 1 Daytona Yellow, which Peter Simpson owns, last I heard.If anyone, on this site, has other VIN's, from Canada, Please email me at [email protected], I'm tring to account for all 20 of them. Any Yenko Chevelle owners, have the code "B1939", on there Build sheet or on the last line of the trim tag? Or COPO Chevelle with "B1795", Please let me know, trying to get a count of how many were ordered, with these specail order numbers.

Most of the cars that I have information on do not show the 1001HA. It is not exclusive to the Monaco orange or Daytona yellow. It shows up with a dusk blue car. All that I have info on are COPO 9566AA 4 speed. Acquaintances claim to have information on 29 of the 30 COPO Chevelles to come into Canada.
V48 - Extra antifreeze, ZK8 - Tire pressure sticker, and ZQ7 - Canadian warranty booklet seem to be standard. B1796, B1591, B1072, and B1603 show up on different build sheets on the same line as the 1001HA and COPO code. Could be a batch number. The shipping list info on our car shows G84 for the 4:10 rearend as well as ZN1. ZN1 may refer to the KQ rearend rather than the KK 4:10 rear that comes with the L78 cars. Our car, along with most others show the PL5 option and we have Uniroyal white lettered F70X14 tires on the SS wheels. One car has the PW7 white wall tire option. Our L78 car also came with the KK reaend and the PW7 white wall tires. I haven't seen anything to differentiate an L78 tire from any other SS396 tire. They were all F70X14. Now we are really confused?

Keith and Mike, Can you double check the 1001HA numbers? The Dusk Blue (51 51) COPO Chevelle build sheet I have (maybe same one Keith refers to) has 1001AA not 1001HA. It also lists two different size tires on the same build sheet. PL5 F70-14 and P57 735-14. The build sheet on TC listed PY4 F70-14. The Chevy documentation mentions the L78 tire. I wonder if they mean the L78 engine or was the 735-14 tire also called a L78 tire size?
We should compile all this COPO Chevelle info. |
