1965 Chevelle 300, 396/425 M22 COPO

Does anyone know where the 1965 Black Chevelle 300 z16 is currently located?
I know the Floyd Garrett museum closed several years back.

It is not a Z-16, it is a one of one COPO that does have many Z-16 parts.

It will be at MCACN this weekend associated with the Z-16 Display. It was also at Chevys in the Smokies in Pigeon Forge TN this past March. As of then it was still in the hands of its long time owner, whose cousin ordered it new.

Thank you. I just wanted to say that the photo in the right passenger window of the black (1 of 1) 1965 copo Chevelle 300 in posting #3 is not a photo of that black car. The photo in the window is that of a different 1965 Chevelle 300, painted red with a 427 big block in it that Bill Hahn raced. The car in the window photo was purchased by Dick Mack and John Bucher or Lorain, Ohio and was repainted and called "Satisfaction". I know this as a fact because I accompanied Dick Mack to the dealership and met with Bill Hahn when the car was purchased.


I know in a later posting Jim Mattison claimed it was the same car but unfortunately it was not.

Yes, Bill I read the earlier posts. My intent was to show what happened to Bill Hahn's red Chevelle 300, who purchased it and a photo of the car after it went to the next owner. It was raced for a while as pictured above and then the wheel base was altered and raced as pictured below.

With the Black car and this Red car both being Floyd Foren cars there’s a strong possibility of the Red car being a second COPO 9719.
