Default 1969 ss 396/375

My L78 TH400 Camaro is for sale at Park Place LTD in Bellevue, Washington. She's highly original with born-with motor, desirable colors (Hugger Orange over Ivory), and documented by GM of Canada.

----Because of so many different combo's when ordering a 69 Camaro I am sometimes confused. I see this 69 beauty and wonder why it doesn't have the stainless rain gutter trim, or why it does have the side louver trim and the black below the rocker trim. Is this 69 correct as it appears to be correct in so many other ways....Bill S

Per my reference books, the black paint below rocker moulding and bright rear simulated louvers in front of the rear wheelwells came with the SS350 and SS396 packages. If the Style Trim Group was added to an SS, they also received the bright drip mouldings and wheel lip mouldings.

https://www.camaros.org/numbers.shtml#XnnCodes explains it.
Look specifically at this table: Body Trim and Paint Features of the 1969 X & Z Codes

Minor nitpick: the car should have woodgrain on the dash.

This car is X66-coded without Style Trim. See the attached table from camaros.org.

Good catch, Kurt. I replaced the dash instrument carrier. The car comes with the missing woodgrain trim pieces (radio, windshield wiper) to finish the job.

I like the way it looks with the NK1 Cushioned Rim steering wheel. The steering wheel is not listed on the GM of Canada docs.

That is a beautiful Camaro. I love the solid lifter big block with M40 transmission.
