Few if any of the internet engine suffix lists include 6-cylinder engines, but some of the old parts books do. I just pulled out the 10/1/1965 "Illustration and Special Information Catalog" and it says that in the 66 model year code FA was a 250 c.i. 6-cylinder with a manual transmission in a full size passenger car (Impala, Belair, Biscayne).
So your VIN tag says it was a 6-cylinder car, and your POP says it was a 6-cylinder car. At least the POP is real!
