Default 67 valve cover sticker

Napa68 posted some pics of his yellow 67 L79 Vette and one pic showed a sticker on the front of the right valve cover. Someone ask what it was and Tim answered n said all 67 L79 Vettes had it. Others chimed in and said chrome valve cover 67 Z’s- 350’s had it also.
My 67 L78 has one but it says Tonawanda on it and is shaped differently where Tim’s doesn’t. I’m sure seeing the quality of his Vettes his sticker is correct.
Got me to thinking did they use a different sticker on the big block engines. I got my sticker from D&R 25 years ago so it’s a repop.
What ya think 67 big block guys?

Richard, your sticker is correct for 67 l78 engines. I believe for l35 also.

Hi-po small blocks were built at Flint, big blocks at Tonawanda, hence different decal.

Absolutely correct, Bill. I believe the Flint engine builders wanted some bragging rights and they came up with their own stickers for Hi Performance small blocks.

Just learned something! Didn’t know there was a different plant that made small blocks. Too hung up on big blocks all these years. LOL 😆

Tonawanda did make some small blocks but Flint never made big blocks.
