I moved off of the yellow 67 to catch up with the 62. All around great guy Bill Wente hooked me up with an oil filter canister for the car. A little soak in Evaporust is just what the doctor ordered here.

In addition, my Dad of all people that came up with the distributor cap.

Furthermore, I diagnosed the inop radio to an open circuit in the antenna cable. I've got one of those on the way. I've been driving this thing all over the place! Then I gave it to my Dad for a few days, and had to pry it out of his hands just to work on it a little more.

The clutch and transmission are awesome! That's all for now

Tim, how did you diagnose an open circuit in the antenna ? Just an ohm check for continuity ?

Exactly. Everything in the radio seems to operate properly (by what I can tell so far) as does the speaker. It has continuity on the ground side of the cable, but not what I'll call the "conductive" side (center). It has a cheesey repair prior I will also add.

Sorry Charlie, my Dad beat you to it. I kinda figured that would be the case. A deal was had when we found the bottom of a box of beer

The upside of that deal (for me), is I took a KILLER KILLER 67 L79 Corvette in trade from him. More on that later.....

Yeah, an obviously inferior repair in the area of something not operating properly is the first place to look.
