Regarding resto-mods in the future, I think that they will remain worth a good deal of money just because if they're done right, you can drive them every day and use them as regular transportation. Last night at the soccer field there was a '67 Camaro convertible owned by one of the dads and even though it broke down (no spark issue), every kid that walked by was saying how cool it was and was excited about seeing it.

But on the flip side: Let’s say that same Camaro had some LS conversion using a custom computer, with another custom computer running the overdrive auto transmission. If that has no spark you’re done, finished. Get it towed to a shop and pay some poor guy to spend hours diagnosing the custom wiring harness that some other guy did in his backyard shop. All because for some reason today people believe everything needs overdrive and fuel injection. I drove my Hornet to work today. Tunnel Ram, 2 fours, 4 speed, 3.54 rear gear. It’s about an 80 mile round trip. Hopefully this summer I’ll drive it a bunch more. It gets 12mpg. It drove everyday in 1975, why can’t it be used today?

Must be nice to be able to lose 80K and not blink an eye! Something I'll never be able to do.
