I have owned quite of few GM SUVs.Our latest are a 2019 Escalade and a 2020 Tahoe.All have had AFM.A friend who was a service manager told me years ago to change the oil and filter at 3000 instead of GMs recommend.The AFM I understand is controlled with the lifters and good clean oil will help them work as intended.So far so good for all that we have owned.FWIW,Tom
