I rebuilt the Carter one barrel on my 49 Studebaker truck. Really simple carbs.
I doubt it is the same carb on a 51 Champion, as there were two different six cylinder engines used back then and the Champion would have the smaller engine. I have since swapped out the flat head six for an SBC. I have the service manual for the truck, and I believe it covers both engines. Would be glad to scan and send pages covering the small motor carb for 1949; but guessing all that is available on line.
