That has been repeated so often it seems to have become fact.
There was NO strike at Norwood. The 1970 Camaro/Firebird launch was delayed due to the failure of the quarter panel tooling. All of it was scrapped and new tooling built. This per John Z, who was there at the time. 1969 Camaro production resumed August 11, 1969 and ended November 7, 1969.
