So discouraging to see this Steve.
As others have said, thank God all are safe.

Like so many of you guys, I feel an emotional loyalty to GM, especially Chevrolet.
GM has gone through a few cycles of getting their butts kicked, then bouncing back to bring some really good products to market.

Hopefully, they turn this around.

In contrast, read post #23 in this thread:

126k miles, NOT the original owner, and they still stepped up.
Hyundai even gave Zack a loaner!!! The contrast in customer service is simply staggering.

This statement also boggles my mind: "I own a 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 4-wheel drive with the 4-cylinder engine gets 10 -12 MPG city driving made it to 6000 miles so far, no problems"

I get better mileage in my 04 Yukon XL Denali, with all wheel drive; and it has a 6.0 which is notorious for bad mileage!

Default GM customer experience!!

The executive committee handling this case is slow walking . A week later still have not provided a 7 passenger equivalent loaner. They offer $44 reimbursement for rental vehicle. They only state this is the best they can do and refuse to provide contact information to escalate the case.

I'm in FL so they are using our cars in NY.

The dealer working on the car provided this to my daughter:

chevrolet traverse engine that is on backorder
Search instead for how long to receive a chevrolet traverse
engine that isnon backorder

Al Overview

A Chevrolet Traverse engine on backorder
could take several weeks to several
months to receive, depending on the
current supply chain situation, the specific
engine part needed, and the dealer's
inventory levels; with some reports
indicating waits of up to two months due to
potential shortages and high demand.

Is there a Lemon Law in your state? I believe in some states if you don't get your car back from the dealer within 30 days you can get all your money back.
