there was an interesting story on Malcolm Durham's Z-16
He was well known for his Strip-Blazer drag cars and was said to have bought a Z-16 to get the 396 for his Chevelle race car. He ran a 1964 Chevelle with a 1963 427 Z-11 engine. Malcolm updated his 64 to a 65 and put in the 396. He put a small block in the Z-16 and gave it to his wife. not sure it that is all correct but that was the story
