as that generation of car builders continue to age we are going to see more and more of this memorabilia surface. Either from them directly or their heirs and estates. Remnants from the greatest years of America's corporate car companies.

That's true.
My dad worked for Chevy Pressed Metal and also GM Advanced Manufacturing Development (he's the GM patent holder for hydroform process; laminated steel, and the adhesive bonding of aluminum space frame construction). They were testing the draw of a die one time and made a whole batch of quarter scale oil pans. He said for the longest time whenever somebody would retire they would get a chromed quarter scale oil pan mounted to a nice plaque. K
