The KZ is the most comfortable ratchet I own. I don't like ratchets with "screwdriver" handles for some reason. That is why it is my "go to" more than any other 3/8.

The AD ratchet was made overseas and came with the spline drive socket sets, which explains why I have never seen one.

Don't know about repair kits for that particular ratchet Lynn, but 50 years ago Sears tool Dept stocked repair kits for these ratchets. Maybe there's one out there somewhere??
In the 70s I installed kits in these Made In USA ratchets multiple times including one I never got around to. Craftsman was great tools until they began sourcing from China in the 80s. - Bill W
