I've gotten a few smalls for the original 396 in the car. I found a fairly priced 8" damper, non dowel timing cover. Time to get this buttoned up. We'll see how time goes......perhaps I'll get this on the dyno to get it properly broken in, and make a few pulls.

Wheew, Every time I see this thread come up and you are the poster, I'm afraid to open it and find you have made a deal to sell it. Don't ask why, it makes no sense, it just happens... 1967 is my favorite year, but somehow this car has taken an unexplainable presence within my being.

While waiting for some parts on a couple of other jobs, I've been slowly putting the original 396 together. Many of the dated parts I have had (traveled with the car since the first time I owned it). A shipment from AMK has helped things along.

Still many little details ahead

Have you decided to flog this on the dyno yet?

Nah. I've got plenty of irons in the fire right now. Not excluding the thought of selling a couple of things off. Tracey and I are working on expanding our storage business. As you can imagine, that's not cheap
