I used to do the same thing when I was a teenager and I took my buddies out in my dad's black SS/RS L78 (L34 originally) car. It would just destroy a set of cheap ole 15" radials of the early 90's. I was using $5's not $100's though.. We were just dumb hick kids though. Sorta like the guy in the video (which is ok in my book).. We all had greasy finger nails and didn't give a shit what people thought of us. Still don't.

Here is a real deal 427 Nova line em up serious street racer from my area back in the day. Not a poser or show car...it was built to run races on the street.
Notice the crude gauge mounting setup-all about function, not show car looks, toggle switch behind steering wheel to shut off the tailights, cb radio. Has not been out since the late 70's. I took these photos back in the 90's. |
