I know on the wide white walls, they say never let the black part of the tire touch the white wall. If they were ever stacked together without a barrier, that could happen. Sorry the Ajax didn't work...Joe

Joe i believe this is what happened to my tires when i had them shipped UPS to my home. Tires were stacked on top of each other with a tough clear wrap and they rubbed a lot over time. Now its a challenge to get them cleaned up looking white again. Good point.

Looks like the lacquer thinner is doing a good job. I will clean them and then the next day do it again. Thanks Bill.
