5.38 Gears!!!!! Holy cow that thing had to perform like it was shot out of a cannon from stop light to stop light!!
I love it!!
As many have said, such a cool story and thanks Bill for such cool pics of this special car from back in the day.

I sold a F85 drag car to Dan Reimer on this site - IIRC it had 5.13 gears. I would have to make the 1-2 shift before I made it out of my driveway.

That's about right lol!! Joel would do this thing when giving a ride along...he would stick a $20 bill to the dash. If the passenger could reach up and grab the bill, it was his. Some where I have a rear view pic, his slicks were huge, maybe 30" dia. and extending beyond the wheel openings.
