That was the year I first met him. We had the only 68 SS427 Z24 at the Super Chevy show and his driver showed up with his 69 and 67 Z24 cars. I am thinking this was 1983? I was looking over the 67 Impala and realized I had restored the engine compartment in that very car around 1981 when the car had 25,000 miles on it. Floyd removed the vinyl top from the car after that. Class guy for sure.

I remember his cars in Musclecar Review when I was a kid. Always said I was going to get to see his museum in Sevierville someday, but it still hasn't happened
![]() I was lucky enough to meet him at MCACN one year, what a loss. Just a a great hobbyist who loved sharing his knowledge and his cars with everyone.
