When I bought my 1965 GTO, I got extensive records that the original owner kept. This shows that on Sept. 15, 1965, he paid 33 cents a gallon for what I assume was premium. Not sure where this is, but he bought the car in Elmira NY.

Gas is at $3.19 a gallon for 87 octane with 10% ethanol. $3.60 or so for 91 octane without ethanol. It has been this way for 3 months. I think we are lucky. At the beginning of the year we all sat around at the office and figured gas would be at $5.00 or more right now. At the rate of inflation that is going on, gas should be all of $5.00 per gallon.

That has been the price for several weeks in the Hudson area, and really, much of WI and Eastern MN. I work in Vadnais Heights MN and fill at the Sam's Club there. The price has been creeping up but 87 was still 2.93/gallon today.
