Nice piece. That means the car had a factory tach (which bumped the clock out of the standard dash hole), correct?

NO, not correct. The tach was in the dash. The clock COULD be optioned on the top of the dash on a pedestal.

I think Jeff meant that the in-dash tach pushed the clock to the console position in this case.
