I always watched him in the 80's on the Today show. He honored the folks that reached 100 years old.

He was a heck of a nice man. Pleasant to watch and listen to.

I remember him on the Today show...my mom would have that on the kitchen TV every morning before I left for school. Also remember him announcing the 100yo+ crowd. He seemed like a genuinely nice guy.
