Big bonus, how exciting!! I'm just guessing, but I'd say those time slips happened sometime before 6/9/67.

Wow! and I can’t even get back to the original purchaser of my 4K. You sure need that born with mill the guy has. I hope you can achieve that someday.

He did say he ran 12's consistently so I'd bet you are right. He said he bought slicks for the track and slicks with "two grooves" for the street. He is going through things and hopefully he finds more stuff!

I hope I didn't say or do anything to close that door. It's out of my hands at this point. For now I just need to be content that it's still around and that I know where it is. Here are photos of the engine when it changed hands before being rebuilt. These were shared with me by the current owners.

Look at the second engine pic, the fuel pump to carb line is correct not like most repop ones on cars. Third pic I bet that is the original alt., black fan deep groove silver cad pulley.
Probably the original 3910 on it also. Hope you get it back someday.

The carb date is 724, also note original 67 only valve covers, DG water pump flat rolled loop short dipstick (it's salmon color i have photos of the engine after rebuild). Interestingly, when speaking to the current owner of the engine, he mentioned the casting numbers didn't match on the heads although they were original. I'm guessing it had one 391 and one 840. Although he could have meant the dates didn't match.

Interestingly I know engine 7N212552 also doesn't have matching casting numbers on the heads after speaking with the last owner of that engine. (It is located in a pacer as NOM)
