One of the bidders waited until the last seconds (sniping...or trying to?) and bid $55,000 but it didn't register.
 Look at the comments The car hasn't changed a whole lot since 1981. I always wondered if the black air cleaner lid with the 396 was correct (Shown in the magazine photos)...or if it should have been chrome...like my brothers? Granted, we bought the Air cleaner and wheel well molding at Cone Chevrolet in 1979/1980...and all were pretty cheap with my discount for working at Hardin Olds...
