The pan pictured above appears to be a '69 pan and would be a good one to look for. I don't need an early pan with the extra bolt hole, and I like the location of the drain plug in the later pans too.
NOW, did that pan continue on from '69 ? and for how long ?

Two '69 and later pans. I'm pretty sure the one on the left came from a '69 L78 and the other is NOS, from the 1980s.

Thanks, Bill. I should have a wide range of years to find a pan from. I wasn't aware they continued the tie rod dimple thru all the years.


Bill, you know anyone on the Hot Rod forum called Gearhead Poppa from NW Iowa ?

I have a pan from a 1974 454 Chevelle, it also has the tie rod dimples.
