OK, I was about to post on early Chevelle pans, but the referenced thread beat me to it. Scroll down to Jeff H's post and pix, school is in session!

The pan pictured above appears to be a '69 pan and would be a good one to look for. I don't need an early pan with the extra bolt hole, and I like the location of the drain plug in the later pans too.
NOW, did that pan continue on from '69 ? and for how long ? Thanks guys.. ![]()

Two '69 and later pans. I'm pretty sure the one on the left came from a '69 L78 and the other is NOS, from the 1980s.

Thanks, Bill. I should have a wide range of years to find a pan from. I wasn't aware they continued the tie rod dimple thru all the years.
Bill, you know anyone on the Hot Rod forum called Gearhead Poppa from NW Iowa ?

I have a pan from a 1974 454 Chevelle, it also has the tie rod dimples.
