I am happy to help keep the memory of our heroes alive...our military history is personal to me...my dad was in the Pacific at the end of the war...served in the Navy as a Seabee.

I had an uncle who was a SeaBee in the Pacific for most of the campaign. His group was building landing strips on small islands ahead of the main group and got bombed and shot at regularly by the Japs. He lost most of the hearing in one ear from a bomb that landed very close to his fox hole.
