You can put baking soda in an acid proof plastic drain pan, then pour the acid in.

I mix baking soda and water, then fill the battery back up with that solution.

Now all the acid is neutralized.

I have a thread on this somewhere in the last couple years. Put a Braille battery inside my old battery. Works great.
