I saw the repro ones this morning on the NPD site. Let me know how that plastic holds up. I think the biggest issue with the old originals is that the plastic has become brittle with age. Some I have seen look all marbled and a few I have seen have spidering throughout. One hit on those and I'm sure they'd end up in pieces.

Some good advice in going with the recoat of an aluminum version I think. I'll look to score one of those and recolor it in the interim.

graeme, the t-handle arrived today. i am really surprised. this is no way plastic its got some weight to it no way your breaking this thing. the threads are direct drilled in to the handle. im guessing its painted aluminum time will tell but it looks good and feels good. for 50 bucks im satisfied.i spent 3x that for an original(black) that sits under my bench in the garage.

after further inspection im going to backtrack on the direct drill statement. i scratched back a bit of the paint and it does seem to have the thread insert. i will add the pic here. i still feel like this handle will take a beating time will tell.
