I appreciate that. I was initially contacted to appraise the car for the estate (www.myvintageviewpoint.com). As much as I love some of these cars I look at, I have to be very mindful of the ethical logistics. There’s an obvious conflict of interest in setting a value and then using it to purchase for yourself. This car was as close as I’ve come to having to navigate that minefield in several years

. I did my best to find it a good home, and it ended up going to a friend of a (local Yenko.net) friend, after the very nice sellers had their fill of screening potential Craigslist suitors.

FYI, my friend bought the 1969 Corvette and told me it was ok to post the journey to get it back driving down the road again in the Technical and Restoration section.
