Everybody back in the day added stuff to there cars. They saw a Camaro with trim or what ever they didn't have, but liked on other Camaros and went to there local Chevy Dealer to purchase and install. I see alot of Z28's with X33 trim on a X77 cars because it look's better. The way I look at it, this is what was done over the years with so many different owners and if your car is not restored and still a pretty original car, then leave it as is. It's still a original Z/28 or SS car. If you are restoring a car with added stuff that shouldn't be there, then by all means, remove it and put back the way it should.
