Yep, its a '70 Boss 429. Roughly half of the production run that year was Grabber Blue. There's a couple of Torino GT's, a '70 Boss 302 and a '69 Mach 1. The Sales Manager obviously wasn't afraid of marketing Musclecars.

Had a friend who had a Grabber Blue Boss 429 in the very early 80's with very low miles. Less than 1000. He only had it about a year.
I'm sure you are thinking "yeah sure, everyone had a Boss 429 or a Hemi something or other." But with as few as there were made, someone has to remember this one. Less than a thousand miles, air cleaner, carb and fuel filter missing. Where the quarter met the roof on the drivers side, the joint looked horrible, but the paint, said to be original looked good. It did have the NASCAR sticker in the door jam and had an aftermarket Holley and cheap air filter. This was about 1980. Last edited by Big Block 69; 11-01-2020 at 01:51 PM. |
