Mine was a 4 speed also, but had a bench seat and although I don't really have a clear recollection of the shifter handle shape, I'm pretty confident it did NOT look like the one in this car. I AM pretty confident that if this car had a console, the shifter handle would have a dogleg that would bring the knob over closer to the driver's right leg.

Being a Chevy guy my next car would to find a 69 Dart 340 Swinger 4 speed. Those 340 engines were strong and fast. Tell me about yours.
