I think about 1984 I saw one of his relatives on a quad atv with a small jet on it. Crazy.
That reminds me theres a local exotic car dealer here who had a motorcycle with a jet in it. I am thinking he said it was a helicopter starter engine?? He had taken it to another dealer and backed into a parking place. When he went to leave caught the mulch on fire!

Heard a story where he tied a J79 jet engine to some trees in his yard -- pointed it out to the swamp and fired it up to test it. Pissed off his neighbors!

There used to be a big oak tree at the starting line of one of the drag strips here. He came one year and killed half that tree. Came back the next year and killed the other half.

There used to be a potato field across the road from the track at Stanton (aka "McBrides", aka "Central Michigan Dragway" aka "Mid Michigan Motorplex"). Behind the starting line was a picket fence. He came up one year and blew all the pickets into the potato field across the road.

They fixed the fence by nailing the pickets to the other side of the posts.
