Mine still has it's original finishes. The tank after 50 years is hard to tell. It's not really all that shiny, not like the heater box is anyway and that's original finish too. Which leads me to believe the tank was likely semi gloss. I'd like to hear from others though.
The bolts holding the tank on the inner fender are definitely a black phosphate coating on mine. The tiny bolts that hold the vacuum switch to the tank are a silver zinc finish. |
