The clutch and flywheel came back. In all of that, I found the source of a vibration. The original flywheel was out a fair amount! Balanced that along with the clutch to the flywheel, and begin to reassemble.
Along the same lines, it is remarkable how far out the original bellhousing was!. The initial measurements to check for being concentric had it off by .015! Got that straightened out........now it should go together like butter. ![]() Man, GM is crude............ ![]() |

If you haven't bought the exhaust manifolds yet, I would highly recommend getting a set of the repro ram air manifolds. They are very close to what those headers were in terms of flow and they don't leak like headers. It's what we did with the Gramma car.

Wiped it down with original formula Go-Jo hand cleaner and let it sit for a few hours. Then, I worked it in with a fine scuff pad. I let it sir some more, and then hit it with a steam cleaner. I'll post pics a bit later today.
