I replaced one of the fenders due to a large dent and light rust at the bottom and had the body shop duplicate it in 1981. This was way before I ever knew anything about stripes. I just wanted it replicated to match the way it came from the factory. My fenders currently are exact duplicate of that original stripe. You can see it in my Avatar
