The 'pattern' cars were ordered in batches by Pontiac. The Order Number represents the order assigned for that particular group of Judges, not an individual car. In other words, if we see Order Number 00051, there may be 1, 2, even 10 or more Judges could be in that group. Order numbers were not unique.
The 'pattern' cars were intended to flood dealerships to garner attention, and bright orange GTO's with rear wings and stickers will do that. Pattern Judges were built as follows: • Carousel Red • 4-speed Trans • Console • Safe-T-Track Rear • AM Radio • Hood Tach • Power steering • Power Disc Brakes • Rally Gauges & Clock • Remote Mirror • Soft Ray Glass • Deluxe Seat Belts Not all early Judges were pattern builds. Exceptions were made for automatic transmission and other options, but they were not part of the pattern build. Carousel Red remained the only color until approximately the 3rd week of February 1969, then Pontiac allowed any GTO color to be ordered with The Judge option. Mike
